When Prometheus stole from the gods it changed the world forever.
Fire allows us to cook our food, warm our bodies, light our way, fend off attackers, make tools, and ease the burden of survival. As you may or may not know by now, every Bug Out Bag and emergency kit should have at least two ways to make a fire.
Among the many ways to create fire are: matches, lighters, flint and steel, stick-rubbing, and (our favorite) fire-strikers. We prefer a good quality fire-striker to the other options because they work well in damp or wet conditions, are “wind-proof”, easy to use, long-lasting, and very reliable.
Leave a comment telling us how you would use fire in a Zombie outbreak and enter to win a brand new “light my fire” Swedish FireSteel, good for about 3000 strikes (more than enough to cook a few meals and light a lot of fires).*
*The Swedish FireSteel was donated to Zombease by crew member Jake.
Of course I would save this for the zombie apocalypse and then use it to light the moat of flammable liquid I built around my strong hold, in emergencies.
But I might also use it like some campfires here and there, but really-FIREY MOAT!!!
Fire + Well Place Molotov Cocktail = Win.
Flaming arrows! And well-placed containers of flammable liquids.
I would make a `10 ft diameter ring of fire around myself. That way I don’t have to look at them and they won’t be able to sense my presence. I would wait until the zombies move on and then run fast
I would definitely use it to burn all of my credit card bills and student loan statements. Heck if the Zombies are coming then I have no need to pay back these bills right?
Hey Tim, thanks for the input! unfortunately the contest has already ended, but keep in touch for future giveaways.
I do a LOT of mountain hunting. I would use this every fall a few times to build warming fires.
Hi Kirk! That’s good to hear, but this contest closed a while back. I do however have a new one happening on our facebook page. Give it a look!
