RE Factor Tactical Survival Band

RE Factor Tactical Survival Band in useWhether you’re hitchhiking across the country, held up in a safe house, on the run from Zombies, or simply want to be a bit more prepared; the RE Factor Tactical Survival Band can help you make it through the night… and even longer if need be.

Before being approved for the market, RE Factor gear must pass rigorous field-tests by operators serving overseas. This, combined with over 10 years of field experience in military and para military special ops, helps RE Factor design their products for real-world use and durability, not just showmanship and fun… though they are pretty stylish as well.

By supplying users with the tools to create fire, catch a meal, stitch a wound, open canned food, signal for help, make minor repairs, and tie-up or tie-down just about anything they can come across, the RE Factor Tactical Survival Band takes paracord bracelets to a whole new level of usability and design.

RE Factor Survival Band contentsWoven into the 12 feet of 550 paracord that make up the bulk of the Tactical Survival Band is a small snare, #8 fishing hook, and more than enough 80lb fishing line to make additional snares, cast a couple lines, stitch a wound, and still have some left over.

In addition to the supplies woven within the Tactical Survival Band, the outside houses a screamingly-loud emergency whistle, P51 can opener, and an effective flint fire starter that can double as a fishing weight when needed. Accessing the supplies included with the Tactical Survival Band is easy, and only takes a few minutes at most. The user simply starts at one end and works their way to the other, unwinding as they go.

With all of the tools and supplies included with this game-changer of a bracelet, it’s easy to see how it could be used to save a life or outmaneuver a few Zombies… if it’s worn by someone with a little training and/or survival knowledge.  Available in three sizes (S,M, and L), the RE Factor Tactical Survival Band is meant to fit just about anyone’s wrist, but because of the clip closure systems, you can also latch it to your pack, belt loop, or other gear if you’re not into wearing it directly.

Everything included with the RE Factor Tactical Survival Band makes sense and has a use, including the paracord itself, but we like the inclusion of the fire striker and P51 can opener the best because of their multi-use abilities.

Available directly from RE Factor for $49.95, you can grab a Tactical Survival Band here, and you might as well check out their other gear while you’re at it.

We would like to thank the folks at RE Factor for sending us the Tactical Survival Band for review, and for their continued work and dedication to creating and supplying the world with great tactical and survival products. Check out REFactortactical.com for more information.RE Factor Survival Band

    • I’d use it to start fires, catch dinner, open dinner, set up snares to catch the in dead, and the rest would hang cans around my DFP to warn me of where the enemy is coming from

  1. This is a great idea! I cannot believe I haven’t heard of it before. I would wear daily and its the perfect compliment to my every day carry pistol and knife. I mean in a survival situation it is extremely possible that you might have to ditch a bag but at least being attached to the wrist you still have some essentials left on you.

  2. I’d use it to set up soma snares to cathe the undead. and string the rest of it up around my DFP to hang some cans as a warning device, and what ever is left would be used to catch food

  3. Every component could be used to set up perimeter defense booby traps with things from the environment I.e. trip wire linked to swinging logs. I’d go Rambo easy with this.

  4. I would set up some snares to catch small game, and use the whistle to draw the zombies in and keep the zombies distracted so I can get the hell out of there

  5. in a survival situation knowing you have items to help you, can set your mind at ease a bit.this band looks to be a great tool for saving a life or two.i dont own a band yet ,so i think i will try to win one

  6. I would use mine to make snag wires, a very crude perimeter defense. There isn’t much cord there so I’d leave it to the basics, doors and entry level windows ( low enough for a zed to crawl through). I think I would try to save about three feet of the cord, maybe a foot of it gutted to use for fishing line, then two foot just to keep on hand in case I have to go Hershel and amputate a limb.

  7. tie additional things to my pack and webbing..traps and snares to compliment my food supply if i didnt have time to grab more of my bobs.

  8. How to use this? So many possibilities, from being able to eat canned food, snared food, or fished food. To being able to repair gear, construct shelter, make fire for warmth, and cooking the food. To signalling for help, or setting up an early warning tripwire, or securing a door to give extra time to escape. All of this is gear i carry, but having it ready to go at all times on your wrist, is priceless.

  9. The handcuff key would be useful to free myself from the pipe I find myself handcuffed to on top of a building in lieu of cutting off my own hand. Once I make it back to camp I’ll use the fishing line to catch fish and provide food for the group. I’d use some other line to make snares to protect the perimeter. I’d save at least one for my garote. Good for decapitating zombies. Once we were over-run and on the move the can opener would be handy for all the canned goods that Glenn, I mean Ben (don’t want to infringe) could scrounge. The flint would always be useful in disposing of the zombie bodies. Once we made it to the farm the 550 cord would be handy for all the farm chores. I’d save some 550 cord and use it to tie off the umbilical cord once the baby was born. I’d save the buckles as a reminder of how mankind must persevere!!!

  10. I would use it to setup boobytraps and early warning to let me keep up with intruders. It would be very tacticool until I had to use it. Allot of useful tools woven into a cool package.

  11. What a handy survival bracelet. I would use the P51 to open any canned goods I scavenged. I would use the snare wire and cord to make a trap for small game and the fishing line and hook w/ weight for catching fresh fish. The P51 would come in handy in the field for scaling a fish or cutting the line. The flint fire starter, when combined with a cotton catch or jute match could mean the difference in surviving the night or freezing/starving to death. The whistle might get you killed in a ZA situation, but it could signal others that danger was near.

  12. First of all, I would wear this thing each and everyday. You never know when and where your’e going to need. If needed I’ll use every peice for it’s intended purpose and then some.

  13. I could not sit here and list all the different ways i could use it becaus ei would be here forever making a long list… so to sum it up quick i would use it to survive… it has all the tools needed to survive in a situation plus has some medical uses.. its an all around must have for anyone

  14. I’d use the paracord as a trip wire security and alarm notifier by putting them around my hooch tied to whatever I could find that would notify me if a zombie or other intruder was close. The fishing line and assorted other goodies would be used for fishing, fire starting and the like. I would probably also use the paracord set with trip wires to detonate homemade claymores in the last line of defense to slow their approach if there are more of them.

So many uses, those are just a few!

  15. I would totally use the survival band to tie a knife on a baseball bat to make it more effective! Or to pull myself in a tree to be out of reach from nearby zombies. An other possibility would be to use the whistle to attract zombies arounds my tree as my family canr un away in safety.

  16. This survival band was a genius idea, not just for preppers but for anyone who enjoys the outdoors!!!! It would be for sure one accessorie I would not leave the house without!!!! Love it.

  17. honestly this thing is just amazing, looks nice, has many uses, and is very useful in a zombie apacoplypse in the need of making a snare for food or an “easy way out”

  18. This is on my wish list for sure! Great basic kit all in place, and easily carried/remembered on a day to day basis..would be like only having to remember to put on your watch every day!

  19. What I like best is the simplicity of the design. Many times people will panic in an emergency and forget things they need to survive. I like the fact that I can wear this everyday. It will become an afterthought to always have it on, like a watch. Never in the way, but always there when I need it. Great idea, can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
