Breathing Mobile Washer: A Way To Wash Your Clothes In The Apocalypse

Breathing Mobile WasherWhether you’re outliving the undead, dealing with the aftermath of a disaster or simply going off-grid, you’ll need clean clothes to do it. Contaminates, such as: viruses, bacteria, pests and parasites are a part of everyday life no matter where you live. And without the ability to properly care for ourselves and the things around us, the risk of infection and disease increases with each passing day.

There are serious benefits to having a clean set of clothes and a bug-free place to sleep. Not only will you lessen the risk of infection, disease, pests and parasites, but you’ll feel better doing it. The ability to wear clean clothes, keep your odor down and maintain a little bit of normalcy during times of disaster can be key to keeping your sanity and hope alive.

But, without the creature-comfort of a standard washing machine or the dry-cleaners, what are you supposed to do when the world isn’t what it used to be?

Lightweight, easy to use, extremely effective and efficient (see: minimal amounts of water, time and detergent or soap), the Breathing Mobile Washer is definitely an option worth trying. When it comes to keeping clothes clean and washing your knickers in an undead (or off-grid) world, this piece of kit has just about everything you need… though it’s probably not too effective when it comes to fending off the undead.

Designed to both push and pull water through fabric, rather than simply sloshing it around, the Breathing Mobile Washer is one of very few truly effective hand-held pieces of equipment that exists in the world today. And, with an easily replaceable universal-threading shaft and maintenance consisting of literally just letting the unit air-dry, this quick and easy solution should last you a lifetime of apocalyptic laundry loads.

Throughout our testing the Breathing Mobile Washer performed best when used with just a few pieces of fabric in a 5 gallon pail roughly half-full of water, though it did a good job in the tub as well.

A simple plunging action with a minimal amount of detergent allowed us to go through a few loads in just a matter of minutes, making this not only effective, but also a major time-saver.

Since the dawn of humankind, countless individuals, groups and societies have been lost to the effects from a simple lack of hygiene and the illnesses associated… and we’d hate to see you join them.

So whether the power goes out, disaster is at your door, or you choose to step back from the modern conveniences of the world, you might want to give the Breathing Mobile Washer a try…¬†as long as you’ve got a basin and a little bit of water. While it’s not for everyone, this simple piece of gear could make a noticeable difference in the lives of the survivors and homesteaders that choose to use it. Available for $24.95, you can get one direct from the parent company here: BreathingMobileWasher.com.

great review. Definitely something to be added to everyone’s gear list. Its amazing how many people plan for everything else but forget personal hygiene. You have a great point about the # of people lost because of hygiene.

I already have one of these, and it does work great! Quick, and cleans clothes very well! I agree, it works better with a few articles of clothing than trying to overload, but then with a few it’s done in a flash, and you can really get a good momentum going. Don’t forget some clothes pins and a line!

  4. Looks like a toilet plunger, I love the idea I will need to see this puppy in action.

  5. I have one of these also. It is great for small loads and can be used by nearly anyone. My four year old loves to help wash with this.
